Michel Janet (Shelly) Denes – Rehabilitation Strategies for Neuromuscular, Neurodegenerative Disorders
Description:
- The latest in clinical treatment guidelines for multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis and Parkinson’s disease
- Assessment tools for measuring gait, fall risk, and mobility
- Developing effective treatment plans based on individual patient’s disease progression
- Best practice techniques to keep both patient and caregiver safe
Attend this course and get the latest management strategies for neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders. This program will give you the most up-to-date clinical practice guidelines for the most common and complex neuromuscular conditions that you will encounter in the rehab setting including multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis and Parkinson’s disease. Special strategies will be discussed for patients with Alzheimer’s disease who are in need of rehabilitation management. Slowing deterioration and preserving independence and mobility is the key to treatment planning and this program will fill your clinical toolbox with the latest on overcoming the challenges of pathological changes and physical progression and how to get the most information out of a patient assessment, as well as developing treatment plans to best fit the patient and their disease progression.
You will leave this seminar with tools to…
- Improve safe gait and tone management
- Best practices for education of both patient and family
- Assess for caregiver stress and know how to intervene
- Perfect documentation for optimal reimbursement and to comply with Medicare changes
These strategies and interventions are immediately applicable to your practice and promote better functional outcomes for your patients with neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders.
